Amanda + Josh Engaged | Kings Valley, Ore.

Remember when I was farm sitting over Memorial Day weekend…

Remember how I was suppose to have several families out for portraits on that beautiful property…

Well it turns out it was meant for engagement portraits <3

I first met Amanda + Josh at her step-dad’s surprise birthday party that I was photographing. Her family is super rad and I’m thankful every day that I now know this fun and loving family. Amanda’s mom, Kim, had arranged for the whole BIG family (3 generations) to come to the farm while I was out there, but we got rained out. 🙁 Amanda still liked the description of the location and contacted me about engagement portraits earlier this month. Instantly I was so excited to work with this family again!

I called Miranda at the farm to confirm bringing folks out for a session and we both started talking about specific locations on the property, where the sun would be at what time, and oh by the way… the farm is overflowing with daisies <3 AMAZING! We were lucky and got the full tour of the property by Miranda + Andy. We got to see and pet the chickens, new 2 week old bunnies, and of course Pocket (the best corgi ever… until I get mine that is).

A+J are a special couple. You can feel their love radiating from their smiles – it just makes you all warm and fuzzy inside. They met through mutual friends a few years ago when both of their lives were very different. When things began to change they found themselves spending a lot of time together and growing closer. Before long it was clear that each of them was the other’s half that they had been looking for. Their love and dedication to each other is evident in every glance and squeeze. Awwwwwwww. If that doesn’t just melt your heart Amanda’s 2 1/2 year old daughter, Makenzi, is completely enamored with “Joshie” and the joy that they share as a family would make the Grinch’s heart grow EVEN more! Congratulations to A+J! I can’t wait for your wedding this summer in Sun River <3 Many thanks to Miranda + Andy for opening up their farm to us and to Gramma Kim for chillin’ with Makenzi while A+J and I worked on their lovey-dovey portraits.
