Meredith and Matt are two adorable peas in a more adorable pod.
In the Fall of 2010, Meredith was off to Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo excited to start her college experience. During orientation week Meredith met Matt and they became instant drinking buddies. After years of friendship and helping each other through major family events, Matt took Meredith on their first date. A quick trip to LA for a Dodgers game and Friday Night Fireworks was all it took. Having a shared love of Dodger baseball, they attended spring training in Arizona. Matt planned the trip along with inviting a couple close friends to celebrate with. Meredith had a feeling the proposal might be on the way, but was caught off guard when Matt proposed the first morning in Arizona at the Dodgers spring training practice facility. Matt knew that Meredith did not want the attention of a lot of people looking on so he proposed in an isolated, scenic part of the practice grounds on a small bridge.
What’s your favorite thing about each other?
[Matt] I love Meredith’s passion and drive. From jobs to future aspirations, family, and friendships, she works so hard to achieve her dreams while caring for and being supportive of everyone around her to the best she can.
[Meredith] I love Matt’s heart. He is so caring and supportive. God knows I have put him through the wringer over the years, but he has always been there for me. I adore his love of games and his desire to keep that childhood mischief alive in everyone.
I can’t wait for their wedding next spring!
