This is me totally getting caught up on my blogging… totally.
I’m excited to share photos from my session last October with Rosie + Greg at Lithia Park for “Gettin’ Married Monday!”
Some of you probably remember me sharing a sneak peek or two on my facebook + instagram a few months ago; well it’s finally time for you to see some more.
We met towards the back end of Lithia Park the day before Halloween for their mid-day session. It was a perfectly uneventful drive down to Ashland as the colorful leaves desperately clung to the trees to provide us with just the right amount of autumn flair. I was still wearing my walking boot (broken ankle), but fortunately the park is well groomed and Greg was so helpful when I needed some extra balance to get into position for just the right angle. First we spent some mushy kissy-face romantic grown-up time wondering around the park’s many features including the Japanese Garden area. Everything seemed to POP! with color, texture, and mood.
We took a break so that they could go pick up the kiddos and include them in the family-time section of the session. While Ruby + Blaise were happy to participate they seemed anxious to get back into their costumes, hit the trick-or-treating route, and Halloween parties. Weird… kids would rather dress up and eat lots of candy than spend an afternoon following a photographer’s directions!?!? Madness! It was immediately clear to me the love that would bind this family together and bring Greg + Rosie closer and closer together. PS Greg made Rosie the little red heart. Awwwwwwww!
I can’t wait for their FIESTA THEMED wedding in Ashland over Memorial Day Weekend. Oh the color, oh the flair, …oh the food!!!
As you may have read in my previous blog posts John and I moved to Bend, Oregon on New Year’s Eve. I’m very excited to work in this new landscape… like really really excited! So if you’re recently engaged or know someone who is, especially in Central Oregon, I’d love to hear all about your wedding day vision and how I can tell your love story with my photography. I have several dates this summer and fall still available. Contact me for booking and details!
