1 // What can I expect from my senior portrait session?

Each portrait session begins with a consultation. We discuss how you want your session photography to look and feel, what  to wear, and what props + accessories to bring. The session itself will be a jam packed with laughing and confident photography arrangements. One of your parents or a friend is welcome to join us for your session. The average turn-around after our session is 2 weeks, in which you will receive an email link to your online gallery that will hold your portraits for 30 days. From there you will select your favorites and download your digital copies. We’ll conclude our time together with a post-session meeting to view the complete portfolio of portraits, look over your favorites, place print + display orders, deliver your 4×6’s, and run through a quick tutorial of your online gallery.

2 // Can I bring my pet?

Yes. A pet that is able to be on a leash is welcome to join you for part of your session. Horses are welcome to join us at designated locations. We can also work on your property or the stable where your horse is kept.

3 // Will you tell me what to do?

Yes. We’ll start out with basic posing or an activity to get you warmed up. I always have my eyes looking for weird hairs, goofy collars, etc. so that you can just focus on the instructions. As the session progresses you’ll start to pose and give a variety of expressions on your own. My job is to make sure you look great, that we get a good amount of variety, and that you’ll have usable portraits for your yearbook.

4 // Can a friend and I have our sessions together?

Yes! Contact me for full info + booking.

5 // Do we have to order prints at the post-session meeting or through the online gallery?

Short answer: No.

Slightly longer answer: I would LOVE it if you ordered your prints at our post-session meeting or through the online gallery that I provide. The print quality is outstanding, the turn-around is lightning quick, and you can rest easy knowing that your prints will not fade or degrade. I actually encourage my clients to get their small prints, 5×7 and smaller, somewhere cheaper like snapfish.com or shutterfly.com, because I’d much rather you spend less on small prints so that you can invest more in large prints or albums with me. But what I want even more is for you to have something real; a tangible hard-copy print that you can hold and look at without unlocking your phone or logging-on to your computer.

Your digital copies are easily printable up to a 5×7 size for your convenience. I am not comfortable with the print quality and consistency available at the consumer level for larger sizes and request that you only order 11×14 and larger through me.

Sessions start at $350 – please contact me for full session info + booking!
