Hannah + Max | Engagement Session in NW Portland

We met through OkCupid! Since reading Max’s first message he sent to me [in] 2019, it’s been just easy ever since. I remember the first time I saw him in person, walking towards me at Mt Tabor Park, I had this overwhelming sense of calm and peace wash over me, and sense of safety like I’ve never felt before in my life. Like I could finally just relax now. [Fast Forward] We had just returned from the most incredible, epic vacation of our lives together. We spent a week camping, visiting Crater Lake and the coast. Still blissed out from our time together, I came home from my first day back at work to Max standing in our dining room smiling. I looked at the kitchen table where he had set up what looked like some kind of new card game. He told me to sit down and play this new game he was excited about. It was the matching game, and each card had a picture of us from one of our previous dates and trips together. It was really sweet, because as I turned over the cards each picture brought back the sweetest memories of our times together. I had the feeling a proposal was coming, but had the thought that he would have the words “will you marry me?” written on the underside of one. But I kept turning over cards and getting matches, but no words came, so I thought maybe I was wrong. Then when there was just a few cards left, I turned one over and on the other side was a picture of my wedding ring!!! I was surprised and completely elated : ) He was so nervous, and had been so worried about setting everything up right he forgot about the fact that he had to say something haha! He got the words out “I want to get married”…

    Sounds like they need a do-over proposal…
