First wedding of 2020 and I feel confident in saying that this is going to be the year of elopements… and/or micro weddings.
Gail + Ted had initially planned to travel to Central Oregon and elope with their adult children by their sides at Tumalo Falls. But then COVID started make travel and gathering at their favorite hotel seem like a distant possibility. Instead they coordinated everyone onto a zoom call and Gail’s daughter, Kimberly, officiated their elopement on their back deck on a rainy spring day. After champagne and cupcakes they migrated to the front porch where their friends showered them with congratulations and well wishes from across the street or driving by in their cars.
What’s your favorite thing about each other?
[Ted] I love her independence and free spirit. I know that I can count on her to be here through thick and thin.
[Gail] I love his kindness and generosity, that he allows me the independence I enjoy. He is very family-oriented and treats all our kids with love and respect. I admire his intelligence.
