Shut. The. Front. Door!
OMG this couple is too cute for words. This is what it’s all about people… love. Crazy, silly, beautiful love.
I was initially contacted by Josh to do a lovey-dovey couples session. We planned to meet at a local coffee shop first, then head out to an apple orchard where they had one of their first dates. Awwwwww! The early November weather completely cooperated that day and we were blown away by the gorgeous autumn light that filtered in through the trees. I thought to myself throughout the session, “Hmmmm I wonder if this is a test. Like this is really an engagement session, or maybe he’s going to propose!” I kept waiting for a whisper or wink from Josh to let me know, but it never happened. Correct me if I’m wrong you two, but it was something like a week or two later that I get an excited text telling me that you were engaged. I think I even responded out loud to my phone, “Dude, what the hell!?!? I was right there!!!” Turns out the ring wasn’t ready when we had our super fun session, but that it’s exactly what they wanted for engagement photos anyway. I’ll still call it a win.
Hillary + Josh are both really into fitness, so it only makes sense that they met at Oregon State in a PAC (physical activity course) class that Hillary was teaching. She was immediately interested in him and “casually” asked him if it was his first time taking this class. He was also immediately interested in her so he did the natural thing. …he lied, “Yes, this is my first time.” It was clear as day that it was not his first class, but she gave him the extra attention anyway. They soon learned that they had much in common, aside from their twitterpated googly eyes, and fell head over heels for each other. Hillary is currently training for a 50K race (no, that’s not a typo) while Josh is training for the annual Beaver Freezer Triathlon. Geez…
Oh yea and I’ve never seen a couple laugh so much together as these two. ::swoon::
Hillary: I bet I could pick him up too.
Josh: Oh you totally could.
Me: Go!
[…] Where do I begin with these two? Hillary (HK) and Josh stole my heart the moment I met them. I had actually seen HK around Corvallis the last few years at various events, but honestly she seemed waaaaay too cool and I was intimidated by her awesomeness. Josh had moved to the Willamette Valley at the same time Hillary did, but since I don’t run marathons or do triathlons I guess I didn’t really have a way to bump into him. …Hillary should have though, but she didn’t until last year when Josh was in one of the fitness classes that she was teaching at OSU. You can read more about their adorable beginnings on my post with their engagement session photography. […]
